Committee Mission: Develop and report information on concrete structures for storage and containment of refrigerated liquefied gases.
Goals: 1. Complete Public Discussion response for second edition 376-YY (revisions to ACI 376-11) in first quarter of 2021. 2. Begin draft of third edition: (a) reformat to align with current code format used by ACI 318, (b) incorporate Appendix D into main body of Code, and (c) address future business identified as part of current Public Discussion response. 3. Technical Note topics: (a) complete Thermal Corner Protection TN; (b) Seismic base isolation; (c) differences in the execution of large and small RLG projects. 4. Hold a 2-hour convention session on changes in second edition, and additional topics such as membrane tank, seismic isolation, seismic design, insulation, cryogenic testing of concrete, tank types, external hazards, accidental load cases. 5. Hold at least one mini-session per year at conventions.
