Abstract:
The use of fabric-formed concrete lining rather than conventional concrete lining for the Sundance and Keephills cooling pond dikes in Alberta, Canada, resulted in slope protection with greater strength at less cost and considerably facilitated construction. Design and construction efforts at the two thermal generating stations are reviewed.
