Abstract:
The challenge of the future for the construction industry is the development of the construction team with the contractor included as a contributing member. Optimum quality is obtained in a friendly environment when the focus is on product control rather than on cost control. This creates need for a new standard practice for concrete inspection. A uniform specification document which states the quality standard expected would be beneficial to the project team.
