Abstract:
The tests reported herein were conducted on a type of Iightweight concrete floor constructed of precast reinforced concrete slab sections laid on and united to precast reinforced concrete joists. The type of bond joint between the slab and joist was an important factor of panel strength and performance. The performance of the panels also indicated that it was possible and practicable to construct precast joist-precast slab floors in such a manner that the joist and slab function together as a T-section.
