Abstract:Two items of interest to designers in concrete are incorportated in the chapel of the Masonic Home and School in Ft. Worth, Tex. In order of construction they are: (a) Foundation design to protect a monumental structure from damage by a highly expansive soil which has wrecked one large building nearby and has badly cracked several others and (b) a structural frame of precast concrete members,having a decorative finish, and requiring concealed connections.
