Abstract:
A prototype segmental waffle floor slab of prestressed concrete construction and with unbonded tendons was designed by Lin’s load-balancing method for uniformly distributed load and simple supports. It was then tested under normal working loads for an extended period to determine time-dependent properties; and a subsequent short-term destructive test revealed overload characteristics.
