Abstract:
Data are presented from eiaht series of plain and longitudinally reinforced rectangular concrete beams, tested at quarter-scale with concentrated loads so placed as to qive combined bending moment, torsion, and shear. Seventy-one beams were tested under combined bending and torsion and 36 under combined bending, torsion, and shear. Interaction curves in two dimensions and interaction surfaces in three dimensions are presented as a suggested approach to solving the problem.
