Abstract:
At the intermediate su ports of continuous prestressed concrete beams, arge concentrated forces exist which are caused by the reaction and cable curvature. The finite element method is used to calculate the principal stresses and their inclination for plotting the stress trajectories. An example for the analysis of the zone at the central support of a two equal span continuous prestressed concrete beam is presented.
