Abstract:
The variability of the ultimate shear strength of simply supported rectangular cast-in-situ reinforced concrete slender beams was studied. The effects on this variability of the variations in material strength and geometric properties were determined. The results provide probability distributions of the ultimate shear strength for use in calculation of capacity reduction factors for slender beams.
