Abstract:
Along with solar, the wind energy industry is poised to lead the energy transition to renewables over the coming three decades. This will create enormous opportunity for the concrete industry to provide tall tower and foundation systems for onshore wind turbines, as well as fixed-bottom and floating platforms for ultra large offshore wind turbines. Trends in this global industry, the role of federal and state policies, and anticipated technological advancements will be presented.
