Abstract:
Hot and dry is a very different environment from hot and wet when it comes to concrete construction, and when it comes to human comfort. Both concrete and the human body are water-based systems, and the rate of water loss is key to the health of both systems. It is also true that the sensitivity of the systems are so similar that reasonable judgments about the impact of hot weather on concrete can be made by calibrating the normal human response to the same environment.
