Abstract:
Piles are an important element of any structure. Deterioration of piles can lead to costly failures, hence an understanding of pile corrosion mechanisms, investigative approaches and rehabilitation techniques is needed for practicing civil engineers. This paper attempts to provide an overview of pile corrosion and author’s findings and recommendations.
