Abstract:
The Roads and Traffic Authority, NSW (RTA) is conducting studies into the corrosive state of the structural concrete in its bridges and bridge size culverts. This paper presents the results of a recently completed study of RTA’s coastal concrete bridges. Bridge condition, in terms of corrosion activity, is assessed and correlated against bridge age, construction type and environmental exposure.
