Abstract:
Rapid hardening sulphoaluminate cement,styrene-acrylic emulsion and the proper amount of additives are selected to prepare a new kind of pavement repairing materials aiming at concrete pavement cracks. The modification effects of the styrene-acrylic emulsion on the cement mortar are studied. The results indicate that when the range of polymer/cement ratio(mp/mc) is from 15% to 20%,the 28 days flexural strength increases by 39.00%~48.23%,the 28 days bending bond strength increases by 45.01%~49.60% compared with the blank sample, and the shrinkage rate of the modified mortar is lower. The microstructure and the pore-size distribution of the modified mortar are observed and analyzed by using the scanning electron scope, energy dispersive spectrum and mercury intrusion porosimeter. The modification mechanism of the styrene-acrylic emulsion to the cement mortar is discussed.
