Abstract:
Pavement restoration is defined as returning a pavement to a sound structural and serviceable condition to extend its service life without costly resurfacing, recycling, or reconstruction. Deciding when to perform restoration and what techniques to use is a real problem. This article provides the practicing highway engineer with guidance in determining the optimum time to apply restoration techniques to jointed concrete pavement.
