Abstract:
An eroded end sill at Red Rock Dam on the Des Moines River in south central Iowa was repaired using a flowable, cohesive concrete containing an antiwashout admixture. The concrete was pumped into place while a diver guided the discharge end of the pump line. Article presents a case history of a successful dam repair using underwater concreting techniques.
