Abstract:
Describes the use of concrete pumps mounted on boom trucks to deliver concrete to the tremie hopper in the construction of reinforced concrete diaphragm walls (slurry walls). The pump/tremie combination provides a number of advantages over the direct dumping of concrete into the tremie from a truck.
