Abstract:
Prestressing tendons made of glass fiber composite material were used on the Ulenbergstresse Bridge in Dusseldorf in 1986. The composite material used consists of Type E glass fibers and a polyester resin matrix coated on-line with polyamide for protection against mechanical or chemical attack.
