Abstract:
Describes reinforced concrete cylindrical shell walls and dome shell roofs (much like the structural shells used for prestressed concrete water tanks) designed to provide the enclosures for three large underground physics halls at the Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility at Newport News, VA. The structural concept, analysis, and design are discussed.
