Abstract:
Investigation correlates core strength and cylinder strength with regard to strength gain in high-strength concrete. The experiment used two large columns and 96 standard cylinders; half were field-cured and half were moist-cured. Effects of placement temperatures and early concrete temperature due to hydration were evaluated. A comparison on the concrete strength gain was made between cores and cylinders.
