Title: Test of Slender Reinforced Concrete Columns Bent in Double Curvature
Author(s): Ignacio Martin and Elmer Olivieri
Publication: Special Publication
Appears on pages(s): 121-138
Abstract:Eight reinforced concrete columns with a slenderness ratio of 40 were tested, two loaded concentrically and six loaded with opposite eccentricities on each end. Results were compared to the ACI Building Code, CEB Recommendations, an analysis based on Von Karman's theory, and values obtained by applying the Hognestad stress block to the measured strains.
