Abstract:
The Los Angeles aqueduct is designed to be 215 miles in length, extending from Owens River on the eastern face of the Sierra Nevada, to the city of Los Angeles. This aqueduct will consist of 41 miles of tunnels, 100 miles of covered conduit, 41 miles of lined open conduit, 21 miles of unlined canal, 12 miles of steel siphon pipe, and 882 feet of concrete flume.
