Abstract:
In June, 1912, an investigation was started at the U.S. Office of Public Roads to determine the distribution of stress in reinforced concrete slabs subjected to concentrated loads, and a report of the first six slabs tested was made in June, 1913, before the American Society for Testing Materials.
