Abstract:
The “Architecture and Concrete” conference, held on December 6-7, 2004, in Paris, France, was the final international event in ACI’s Centennial year. Part of this conference was a session devoted to exploring how research has led to better practice in the field of concrete. This article provides a summary of the major points of the sessions that covered topics such as durability, preservation, rheology, nanoscience, and new concretes.
