Abstract:
Texas Genco needed an excavation to facilitate coal delivery and unloading at their Limestone Electric Generating Station. Such a deep excavation, however, proved challenging from both a design and a constructibility perspective. Soldier piles and three different bracing systems were chosen to achieve this engineering feat.
