Abstract:
In many marine construction projects, underwater concreting is technically demanding, usually on the critical path of the project schedule, and involves complex construction logistics. The underwater concreting portion of the project is an area where competent design and sound planning can achieve a meaningful reduction in both risk and cost. This article will discuss some technical considerations in the production and delivery, placement and protection, and form pressure of underwater concrete.
