Title: Determination of Creep Strain of Concrete Under Sustained Compressive Stress
Author(s): F. Eugene Seaman
Publication: Journal Proceedings
Appears on pages(s): 803-810
Keywords: no keywords
Abstract:Presents the many problems involved in the measurement of creep strain in concrete as distinguished from elastic strain and other volume change factors. Describes equipment and procedures developed for the mass accumulation of reliable data necessary to evaluate the variables in concrete. Limited data indicate that curing method may greatly influence the creep strain property of concrete. Creep strain ratio values, for various concrete stresses, are plotted against time for maximum creep-time curve.
