Abstract:
Offers some ideas developed by ACI Committee 348 regarding the responsiblities of the parties involved in the various stages of design and construction. These are presented as three statements with supporting comment. The statements place the responsibility for insuring that shop drawings satisfy deisgn requirements and for acceptance inspection on the engineer of the record, and assign the responsibility for construction inspection and quality control to the contractor.
