Abstract:
Presents an analysis for the general case of a ring beam (for support of a silo hopper) in which the 4 to 12 equally spaced columns may be eccentric to the ring beam. This is an extension of an earlier paper in which the analysis was limited to the case of columns centered on the ring-beam axis. An example illustrates the application of the analysis and related tables.
