Abstract:
To address sustainability challenges facing the concrete industry, the Strategic Development Council (SDC) organized the Concrete Summit on Sustainable Development, held on March 29 and 30, 2007, in Washington, DC. To ensure broad industry representation, participation in the summit was opened to non-SDC members, with leaders from various facets of the concrete industry invited to participate. Issues and suggestions presented at the summit are summarized.
