Abstract:
Since 2001, the Life-365 Service Life Prediction ModelTM has been used to evaluate concrete mixture proportions and corrosion protection strategies. The software is especially useful for marine and other structures exposed to external sources of chlorides, such as parking garages, bridge decks, and transportation infrastructure. In 2008, Version 2.0 of the software was introduced to the engineering and construction industry. The new version will also address uncertainties in concrete material properties, structure geometry, boundary conditions, and project costs, in particular for high-performance concrete mixtures.
