Abstract:
Machine troweling and manual troweling result in differing surface densities which will be obvious in a polished surface. However, the difference in the polished surface appearance due to slab-surface finish density is not the responsibility of the polishing contractor. The Concrete Polishing Council (CPC) has developed a list of options that the polishing contractor can discuss with the concrete contractor to help avoid aesthetic issues associated with variations in surface density. The options are summarized, and links to additional resources are provided.
