Abstract:Following the 2015 Nepal earthquakes, ACI Committee 133, Disaster Reconnaissance, deployed researchers from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. Assisted by 12 volunteer civil engineers from Nepal, the team surveyed low-rise and high-rise reinforced concrete buildings in Kathmandu. The survey methodology and key observations are summarized.
