Description:
A Concrete Construction Special Inspector is a person qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during pre-placement, placement, and post-placement operations.
A Concrete construction Inspector-in-Training is a person who is knowledgeable about inspection procedures for concrete construction, including pre-placement, placement and post-placement operations; but does not have the experience required to qualify as an ACI Concrete Construction Special inspector.
The programs requires a knowledge of concrete construction, including plans reading, formwork installation and removal, reinforcements, embedments, sampling and testing freshly mixed concrete, conveying, placing, consolidation, finishing, jointing curing, and protection.
This 5-day course includes reivew by Karin O'Brien, P.E.. Ticket option available to include/not include reference materials. CP-21/CP-31 reference materials are required for the exam and review.
Day 1 - 4, November 10 - 13 - Review includes information for ACI's Certification program for CP-21 Concrete Construction Special Inspector and CP-31 Concrete Transportation Special Inspector. Time for lunch is provided daily.
Day 5 - November 14
Optional Pre-Exam Review and Q&A Session, and check in (7:30am-8:00am)
Open-Book Written Exam (8:00am-11:00am)
Closed-Book Exam on Plans (11:00am - 12:15pm)
