Q. Where can I find information about shear reinforcement for beam-column connections in intermediate moment frames?

 

A. Section 18.4.4 of AACI 318-19 includes earthquake resistance requirements for joints in intermediate moment frames. You may wish to refer to ACI 352R, “Recommendations for Design of Beam-Column Connections in Monolithic Reinforced Concrete Structures,” for additional information on vertical joint reinforcement.
