Description

This is a recorded webinar from December 6, 2022.

The presentation provides an overview of the newly published ACI 211.1-22: Selecting Proportions for Normal-Density and High Density-Concrete – Guide. This guide will help ready mixed suppliers and contractors in strategies for designing and adjusting normal density concrete mixture proportioning to meet project specifications and contractor workability goals. This new publication replaces a previous version of this guide last published in 1991. This presentation will provide a comparison between these two versions and will give updates on numerous characteristics of mixture proportioning including: the selection process for mix constituents, impact of supplementary cementitious materials on performance and sustainability, and revised mixture proportioning examples incorporating parameters such as cement efficiency and paste volume. The presentation will conclude with some design proportioning mixture examples that include supplementary cementitious materials and water content adjustments.
