Description
Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) class materials exhibit unique fresh and hardened-state behaviors due to their optimized composition, including strain-hardening responses that can reduce or remove primary reinforcement. These novel behaviors and changes in load-carrying intent drew significant interest and have been researched heavily over the previous decades as architects, engineers, and owners have expanded their desired applications for this class of materials. This webinar presents a non-mandatory overview of UHPC materials, highlighting common mixture trends, key mechanical and durability properties, and the breadth of applications where UHPC offers significant advantages. While UHPC is often associated with very high compressive strength, the webinar emphasizes that UHPC should be deliberately proportioned to meet the performance requirements of the intended application, and that it is most effective when used in situations where its unique advantages provide clear value.
