Description

This course will provide progressive learning for shoring/reshoring designers, contractors, and base building engineers in several key areas of shoring and reshoring design and early-age building performance of multi-story concrete structures. This course will illustrate relationships with the base building deflection design assumptions, early-age concrete, speed of construction, and construction tolerances in constructing multi-story concrete buildings. This course will detail an overview to the updated ACI 347.2R, “Guide to Shoring/Reshoring of Concrete Multistory Buildings,” exemplifying best practices to reshoring design by better understanding early-age concrete behaviors, limitations of existing code and standards, and early-age loading effects on deflections.
