Description

The objective of this course is to introduce the latest research and design information on using shrinkage-compensating concrete for various structural applications to avoid drying shrinkage cracking. Different types of shrinkage-compensating concrete will be discussed: a. how it is produced in design mixes and b. how shrinkage-compensating cement affects early strength properties in comparison to ordinary Portland cement design mixes.
