Detailed Webinar Instructions

Description

This webinar is jointly sponsored by NEx: An ACI Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials and the American Concrete Institute (ACI).

The global demand for sustainable, resilient, and cost-effective road infrastructure is rapidly increasing. According to international development agencies, rural roads represent over 60% of the world’s road network, yet most are unpaved and poorly maintained, contributing to social inequality and limited economic growth. Traditional construction methods rely heavily on quarrying, long-distance transport of aggregates, and the intensive use of cement and asphalt. These approaches not only increase costs but also generate high carbon emissions and severe environmental degradation.

This webinar will:

• Delve into sustainability and circularity for road construction including the economic benefits of copolymer’s alternative technology for road construction.

• Present an overview that defines the prevailing alternative technologies for road stabilization construction.

• Discuss the importance of soil matrixes and various configurations.

• Present independent laboratory tests and case studies demonstrating:

• Increase in CBR, load-bearing strength, by an average of 400% - 600%.

• Increase in soils’ tensile strength.

• Water resistance and hydrophobic characteristics in roads and road bases from around the world.

• Non-Toxic, Non-Polluting, Non-Hazardous, Non-flammable, Safe to Flora, Fauna and Wildlife.

• How to use locally available materials.

• How to use recycled and waste materials.
