Detailed Webinar Instructions
Description
This presentation introduces a newly developed guideline for the effective use of nonmetallic oil-based nanomaterials in cementitious composites and asphalt. The guideline provides a comprehensive framework covering material development, production, quality control, and field application of nano-modified cementitious composites (NMCC) and nano-modified asphalt (NMA). It details NMCC and NMA specifications, including fresh and hardened properties, mechanical performance, volume stability, thermal and electrical characteristics, and long-term durability under diverse environmental and chemical exposures. Quality control protocols are presented, encompassing trial batching, property evaluation, visual inspection, and advanced monitoring techniques to ensure consistency and performance in practice. The guideline also highlights real-world applications in structural and pavement systems, such as bridges, walls, and asphalt and concrete pavements, while addressing challenges and opportunities for adopting nanotechnology in construction. This presentation will provide engineers, researchers, and practitioners with a structured approach to integrate nanomaterials into construction materials, promoting innovation, sustainability, and durability in infrastructure development
