Abstract:
A computer system developed to control the manufacturing phases in the concrete precast industry is presented. The first module of the system (TSAPE) is the structural one, which performs the control and simulation of the evolution of the products during the manufacturing steps, in association with numerical simulation models which assist in obtaining products with optimal characteristics. The quality control inspection module (PREQUAL) allows the checking of the products in the plant, during the fabrication phases and/or after transportation to the construction site, using expert knowledge to make decisions if anomalies occur.
