Abstract:
Small computers, already popular for personal and business use, are rapidly becoming important tools for engineering practice in general and concrete design and construction in particular. In the future, ACl’s Building Code and other documents may be revised to include procedures and formulas that are too complex to be practical without the use of computers. This article presents software and hardware selection criteria and discusses common problems with computing.
