Abstract:A design method is presented for determining flexural reinforcement at critical sections in a floor system. Although many methods exist for the selec-tion of section size and reinforcement, this particular method makes it easier to relate all the critical sections to one another rather than dealing with each critical section on an individual basis. With a minimum requirement of memory, section sizes and reinforcement can be determined for usual cases without use of tables.
