Abstract:
The amount and rate of plastic flow in concrete under load has been found to depend on the rate of drying. This paper shows by mathematical analysis that this is a natural consequence of nonuniform shrinkage and a nonlinear stress-creep relationship. It further shows that shrinkage cannot account for additional creep unless inelastic strain not proportional to stress is produced. signed to test the Results from experiments decrete are reported. applicability of the theory to con-Presidents
