Abstract:
In modernizing the street facade of the Co!umbia Broadcasting Studios, New York City, face brick was cut back and three-coat stucco applied, the finishing coat being Carborundum-ground to a smooth finish. This facing avoided removing the entire front of the building. saved time and cost. The materials and methods are described with suggestions for their improvement on other similar jobs.
