Abstract:
Describes in summary the development of both fine and coarse aggregate for concrete on the Clayton Hydro Project, near Radford, Va. Improvement in particle shape and gradation enhanced the value of the aggregate when compared with the product us- ually secured from primary crusher operation. Departure from somewhat orthodox procedure was made by the use of relatively large amounts of the dolomitic aggregate passing a No. 100 sieve. The general pro- cedure allowed appreciable savings.
