Abstract: Presents a definition of girder bridges based on thebending moment diagram; classification is in six types. A number of reinforced concrete girder bridges with solid webs of over IO0 ft span in 17 countries, maximum spans and years of completion, are classified according to their-cross section and average width per one main airder.
