Abstract:
Examples of the efforts of architects, builders, and owners to incorporate thoroughly fire resistant or corn letely resilences in the Eastern seaboard area are given, fireproof construction in all types of with unit costs in many cases. Several precast types of concrete construction, ap- plicable to large-scale housing are also depicted. The economic advantage accruing by the use of reinforced concrete structural frames and floors for multiple-unit housing projects, as evidenced by several major projects, is also presented.
