Abstract:
These specifications have been written to apply to average conditions in municipalities. Principles of design, a!ternates, and explanations are given in the appendix. By studying the appendix, engineers should be able to make alterations to fit local conditions and thus obtain a more economical pavement or provide for unusual traffic or subgrade conditions. Specifications Include: preparation of roadway, materials, joints, forms, proportioning, mixing, depositing concrete, fin-ishing, curing and protection, and appendix.
